Dr. Fred Bell chose freelance artist, Sheri Culver to illustrate 'The Gnarler' Cartoons appearing monthly www.pyradyne.com.
Sheri Culver obtained her BFA at Western Washington University in 1987 and is currently taking courses at Pratt Fine Arts Institute, Seattle WA.
Her skills include:
illustration, cartooning, mixed-media sculpture, metalsmithing/jewelry design, painting, ceramics & graphic design.
Artist Statement:
"I believe every medium has within it, its own unique, infinite ability for expression. When an artist explores all these mediums, it creates a better rounded vision for whatever form that artist chooses to work in. I believe my experience and work over the years in mixed-media sculpture, metal design/jewelry making, ceramics and painting has given me an expanded ability to conceptualize forms in either the one, two or three-dimensional form. In my drawing/illustration work, I have a simple, yet sophisticated style in which I utilize this experience to create work with presence and depth."
