We are all aware of the dangers of high energy radiation. We know that radiation in large doses is quite harmful. But, are we aware that in small, daily doses, it is also quite harmful over time? Everything electronic in our environment, from cellular phones to television, produces radiation. Basically, the radiation spectrum can affect us from a few cycles per second, (ELF, Extremely Low Frequency) to x-rays, to very high frequencies and beyond. 
Do you really know what radiation is, physically, and what it physically does to our bodies and consciousness? 
Free radicals are produced by the body as a result of exposure to radiation. Ultimately, they are the disease-origin of all our cells and organs. Free radicals are also produced by the body when we consume toxic substances such as leftover meat, rancid oil (such as salad dressings, mayonnaise) opened, then left in the refrigerator for a day or two, or even air pollution on a sunny day. Ordinary air contains about one billion hydroxyl free radicals per quart of air. 
What is a "free radical?" Technically, it's just an oxygen molecule with an electron missing, i.e., an "unpaired electron." Ironically, most people don't realize that free radicals also sustain life. In one stage of breathing, oxygen is converted to free radicals. In the immune system, free radicals help fight disease-causing bacterial invaders. However, in the case of free radicals per- forming good bodily functions, proper balance and maintaining the proper energy zone are of utmost importance. Here your body provides proper enzymes which regulate and control free radicals so that they don't do damage elsewhere. The enzymes super oxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione peroxidase are two of these free radical substances manufactured in your body. Without these enzymes, you would quickly die. In fact, all air breathing life on our planet must have such enzymes to survive. 
Uncontrolled, these free radicals can damage proteins, fats, and nucleic acids.
