Let’s take a moment to reflect on 2020.
What comes to your mind when you think about the last 365 days? Maybe this year brought frustration and tough times. Maybe it brought happiness, a new family member, or a new chapter in life.
Regardless of how your year went, it is always important to take a step back and take a bird’s eye view of the passing year.
While we certainly don’t have all the answers, we truly believe that living intentionally with these 5 thoughts in your mind will help you to make this year your best year yet!
Have a suggestion? Comment below to share what mindset you’ll have heading into 2021!
1. Keep Your Head Held High
Failure. It sucks…
BUT we all do it! It may be hard to have a “chin-Up” mindset when you’re feeling low or discouraged, but if you strive to live with pride, confidence, and a strong-will, you will be able to tackle any obstacle.
Remember, put one foot in front of the other and soon you’ll be walking out the door!
2. What Did 2020 Teach You?
Did you have a hard year? You’re not alone. Instead of complaining or dwelling on the hardships, look to them as learning experiences. Each tough day brings lessons with it… very valuable lessons at that!
When we navigate difficult times, we learn to work through them and become a stronger person.
Unfortunately, hard times are a part of life… It is absolutely impossible to avoid them.
We challenge you to look at these strenuous periods as blessings in your life! Take these as lessons with gratitude and humility.
3. Set Goals
Head into 2021 with intentions and goals.
We would recommend writing down a few things you would like to achieve this year. Writing it down will make it REAL!
TIP: Write down 3 goals and tape them to your bathroom mirror, hang them on your fridge, or put them in a place you’ll be sure to look at every day. This will serve as a daily reminder and will keep you motivated to CRUSH your goals. You got this!
4. Be True To Yourself
Stay true to you. Be honest with yourself and be honest with others. When you are true to yourself, that is when it is easiest to find happiness.
For example, if a friend invites you to get some drinks on a Friday night, but you REALLY want to curl up with your dog, what should you do?
Tell them nicely that you don’t want to go.
When you are honest and respectful, you will find yourself living the life you want to live!
5. NEVER GIVE UP!
This may be the most important mindset to us: Whatever you do, DON’T GIVE UP!
Get knocked down? Get back up!
Whatever life throws at you, know you are a STRONG person who has more than enough will-power to make it through. Remember to reach out to friends or family if you need help, motivation, or just a nice laugh. We’re sure there are more people that are willing to help than you realize!
