Benefits Of Raw Juicing

Benefits Of Raw Juicing
Posted on

It's messy and it's a lot of work! But it's worth it. We're talking about juicing and how beneficial it is for your body; the right kind of juice, and not the wrong kind of juice.

Juice

So what is the right kind of juice? The reason we juice is for fast absorption of nutrients, extracting them from fruits and vegetables in a way that doesn't kill or heat the nutrients. Raw juice is always going to be better than pasteurized juice, even HPP, that's because the nutrients are still alive and bio-available for the body. When we pasteurize juice it kills all the good stuff, leaving behind just a whole lot of sugar. HPP juice is better than no juice, but it's not the best.

Don't juice cucumbers. This is not widely known, or perhaps chosen not to be known by big juicing companies because cucumber is still used in a lot of juices on the market today. Cucumber is a filler and mainly water based and so it makes for a cheap way to fill up that juice canister in a more cost effective way. The truth is that because cucumbers are high in sodium they tend to cause bloating and gas, particularly when partnered in green juice.

Benefits of Juicing

1. Drop a few pounds

Drinking quality juice as a daily routine, or for a chosen period of time has been shown to help people detox and lose weight, as long as the juices are raw with no added sugars or chemicals. If you chose to do a 3 day juice cleanse, for example, you'd be giving your body 3 days to replenish itself from the effects of eating processed foods and excess protein.

2. Get more energy

People tend to rely on caffeine and sugar to give them energy to get through their day, this will have some serious long term repercussions for our health. The other problem with doing that is you'll end up crashing just a few hours later. With juicing, you're naturally energizing your body and the effects are long lasting, with no crash or risk of developing health issues.

3. Improved gut and digestive health

With juicing, you give your digestive system a much needed break. It doesn't have to work so hard to digest meals since everything you're consuming is in liquid form. You may notice that you feel tired after eating, that is because it takes a lot of energy for your body to break down food, particularly meat. Giving your body a rest from digestion allows your body to work on healing, thus saving that energy which you can then utilize.

4. Better skin

People who drink raw juice as part of their daily habit often report experiencing a glow. Juicing helps your body to heal from the inside out and as you continue as part of your lifestyle, you'll begin to see big improvements in your skin. Once you start juicing, your skin greatly benefits from the extra hydration. If you suffer from acne, dry skin, or any other skin conditions you hopefully should begin to see this improve.

5. Detox Toxins

Choosing organic is not just a fancy label, no, when we choose foods that aren't organic, they often have pesticides, antibiotics, and other yucky chemicals added to them. Pesticides and chemicals have toxic effects on our health. Doing a juice detox or cleanse allows your body to eliminate some of those toxins from your body.

When looking for a great juice company, be sure that they are raw and organic. Before you start juicing, be sure to take the time to make a plan that you can stick to, if you need to, make a budget for your juice allowance each month. You'll find that if you're consistent, you'll start to experience many wonderful health benefits.

Happy juicing!
