Mold is a natural part of our earth. In nature, molds are a necessary part of the circle of life; responsible for breaking down dead organic matter such as decaying leaves and logs. This is vital to the health of planet earth and her natural landscapes. However, when growing indoors, mold can become a massive issue for the health of anyone living in that space!

 Mold typically grows in areas of your home where moisture is present, which then spreads by releasing spores into the air. All-in-all there are over 1,000 different types of mold that can grow in your house. You may find mold in drywall, a leaky roof, or even be found on your Christmas tree! When molds spread, they bring allergens with them, causing a myriad of infections, irritations, and other health issues.

A person who is exposed to mold may find themselves suffering from mold toxicity. Unfortunately, for many years, mold wasn't considered to cause illness in humans or animals. As more and more medical professionals and individuals speak out, awareness continues to spread. However, the symptoms of mold illness are not specific, and can cause a large variety of issues depending on severity of exposure and type of mold.
